My Approach
Much of my experience as a licensed clinical social worker is with school aged kids and teens. I really enjoy helping them learn to manage the anxiety, social issues, depression, or adjustment issues that are getting in the way of classroom learning and connecting with peers. I feel that the social and emotional skills we learn at this age are as important as the academics. Kids are complex, so I always try to listen and appreciate their strengths and perspective. I also think it it important to include parents and their school support team whenever possible.
